THE ORB LOUNGE

A giant screen, full dome immersive theatre entertainment experience!

Full Dome is a new and unique film entertainment medium which displays content using a hemispheric projection system that surrounds an audience. Reclining on lounge seating with exciting vision and sound, the interior of the dome fills you with illusions of awesome scale and perspective, creating an immersive effect putting you into the adventure. Flying and floating Sensations can be experienced as real-time visual animation with music, time lapse images and virtual environments take you into the world of the micro and out into the infinite spaces of the universe.

With various content suitable for all audiences, The Orb Lounge is a new and unique experience to be enjoyed at this years Global Carnival.

The Orb lounge shows are 25mins with a small cover charge:
Fri: 6pm – midnight
Sat and Sun: 12noon – 10pm.

AVS – Audio Visual Synthesis

A beautiful and enchanting way to enjoy Fulldome immersive media is by music and sounds projected as visual synthesis.  The ever evolving patterns and colors adds depth and dimension to listening experiences by producing and constantly moving and changing visual experience.

Fractals

A production of the Fractal Foundation, at the University of New Mexico, “Fractals” are Fulldome music video animations that take you deep inside the structure of nature. Fractals appear similar at all levels of magnification and are considered to be infinitely complex. Natural objects that approximate fractals include clouds, mountain ranges, lightning bolts, coastlines, and snow flakes. This show is very popular in America, where it has had sell out crowds every Friday night for over 75 weeks in a row.

Seeds Of Spring

Seeds of Spring” is a three minute time lapse film about the life cycle of a tomato.  Bringing into view the an ordinary but no less amazing natural process. “Seeds of Spring” received the Best Live Action “Domie” at the 2007 Domefest in Alburquerque, NM, and will be included in their traveling show.  It was also well received at the Association of Science Technology Centers annual conference in October 2007.
