Carnival Philosophy
The Carnival was created and built upon the ethics of tolerance, respect and care for each other and the environment.
Music and the arts reveal our inspired and creative natures where common, human decency and love can abound.
We are an incorporated non-profit company whose mission is to provide the opportunity for this to happen and to support often unknown, but brilliant, artists from the many cultural groups residing both here and overseas.
By doing so, we (that includes you!) collectively foster an appreciation for our planet’s glorious diversity while nurturing unity.

Carnival Safety
Please make yourself familiar with the Terms and Conditions of Carnival entry as many of them are designed for your safety and the safety of others. These can easily be found on this site.
As part of our Safety Management Plan we provide professionally trained and accredited First Aid and Security services around the clock. Any onsite accident or emergency must be referred immediately to security and our medical team who are located together @ the main entrance (Gate 1) or by ringing the Main Office on 02 6655 3024.
- Wear shoes at all times.
- Regularly check yourself for ticks.
- The weather is frequently hot so bring a hat and your swimmers and remember to drink plenty of water.
- Look after your personal safety and the safety of your friends.
- Children must be supervised at all times.
- Do not light camp fires. The Carnival takes place during a fire-ban.
- The Showground is home to horses and other events throughout the year. Plastic, sharp objects, cans and cigarette butts pose dangers to them so please dispose of them carefully.
- In the event that the site needs to be cleared we have an evacuation plan. Contact the Main Office and Security.
Terms & Conditions
The Terms and Conditions of entry are part of your ticket when purchased. Please make sure you are familiar with them
Carnival Conduct
- Carnival Goers are expected to be considerate of other patrons. “Dickhead” (i.e loud or drunk) behavior is not acceptable anywhere within the Carnival.
- Security is authorized to remove the wristband and any person, youth or adult who is causing a nuisance to the Carnival or Carnival goers.
- Please respect others and their property.
Alcohol
The Carnival has a licensed Bar. Alcohol is prohibited in all other areas of the Carnival including the camp-grounds.
We are very committed to creating and maintaining a happy, easy-going and safe atmosphere for one and all. We will not tolerate under-age drinking and unruly, drunk behaviour which no-one is impressed by and which causes fear and distress to those exposed to it.
Gatecrashers
We do not tolerate anyone entering the Carnival without a valid ticket.
This is trespass which can actually have consequences in law. Anyone undertaking or assisting in this activity will be refused entry, evicted and banned from future Carnivals.
DO NOT GATE-CRASH. Please show respect to the Carnival and the people who have w0rked hard to present it.

What to Bring
At this stage the Carnival does not provide tents so if you are camping you need to be self sufficient.
The weather is frequently hot and right next to the Carnival site there is a river for swimming. It can be chilly at night so bring some warm clothes and in the event of wet weather, something to keep your feet dry (shoes should be worn at all times)
If you have prepaid your ticket, make sure you bring all the relevant paper-work, I.D and credit card if used for the purchase.
Whilst we have a professional medical team around the clock, it is a good idea to bring a basic first aid kit especially a pair of tweezers and some tea tree oil because of ticks which seem to be the most medical common issue.
