Amazing drumming monkeys
More fun than a barrel of ….The Amazing Drumming Monkeys are two adorable and astonishingly rhythmic puppets named Congo & Bongo. The brainchild of Adelaide-based duo Xavier Beaubois and Troy Moore, the original idea for the Monkeys came when Xavier’s daughter Kira laughed hysterically when he used the hands of her toy monkey to play a drum. Realising the potential, Xavier and Troy quit the bands they were playing in to develop the concept, and the rest is Drumming Monkey history.

Xavier was born in Mauritius, learned his hand drumming skills in Africa, and became a drum maker in Guatemala. Troy has performed with a number of dance and theatre companies, and got involved in children’s entertainment through his work as a clown.

Great for kinds and parents alike, the Monkey's variety show is full of percussive hi-jinx, songs, magic tricks, lo-tech special effects and comical fun. With their own CD “It’s Showtime" now available, they've been the surprise hit at Womadelaide, Earthdance and all around the country. These magic Monkeys are a must!

funny green smelly things

Funny green smelly things
What happens when your Tamagotchi mutates and tries to eat your brain? Why do green frogs live in the toilet? What do they do with all the poo they collect from all the animals at the zoo? The Funny Green Smelly Things are not afraid to ask the tough questions! They explore these perplexing issues and more in a vibrant, rib-tickling musical comedy show that will have the kids (and big people) cracking up. It’s non-stop nonsense, packed with songs about all that smelly gross stuff that kids love - like boogers, burping, bugs and bottom noises.

FGST is presented by two seasoned performers, Lucy Lastic (aka Merri-May Gill) and Simon Snott (aka Simon Mellor). Merri-May has toured globally, taking part in London’s Royal National Theatre Summer Festival, the Cambridge Folk Festival, Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Port Fairy Folk and National Folk Festivals and the Adelaide Cabaret Festival. Simon is one of the founding members of the Horror Clowns, an all-singing, knife-juggling, fire-breathing trio from the early ‘90s. He was also the former front man with 'The World's Worst Country & Western Band' (though briefly for obvious reasons).
Warning: The Funny Green Smelly Things show contains songs about gross, disgusting stuff that kids find hilariously funny. It is unashamedly bereft of educational value and makes no pretence to serve any academic or vocational purpose.

Story Circle
Stories told in a theatrical way for the young (and not–so-young)
Story Circle’s creator, Emily McCormick studied Community Theatre at Drama Action Centre, Sydney. She trained in physical theatre, storytelling, mask, clowning and improvisation. She was a founding member of Stalker Theatre which toured both nationally and internationally, and pioneered ground-breaking work with stilt acrobatics and outdoor theatre. Emily was also a founding member of Marrugeku, an acclaimed company that initiated collaborative and innovative spectacles between remote and urban indigenous communities and non-indigenous performers.

More recently while co-ordinating the playgroup at Kindlehill Steiner School, Emily has been exploring young children's theatre through storytelling and music. She appeared in the whimsical clown show "Goglow's Magic Seed", as narrator and musician at Katoomba’s recent Winter Magic Festival.
